How Your Mug Is Made and Shipped

I don’t know about you, but I have a collection of mugs that were given to me by dear friends. I feel quite sentimental about them and I love that they are part of my daily life.

As I consider putting my designs on mugs, my highest priority is quality. I want accurate and durable colors—up to the pressures and accidents of daily life.

I ordered some from different companies to try them out and chose the company that gave me the best all-around results. Delivery was fast, and I’ve lived with them for months now and they’ve held up beautifully.

When you place your order, your mugs are individually printed and shipped from the US. This makes fulfillment and delivery quicker and more reliable.

The Fulfillment Process

These mugs are created with original, full color, digital artwork that is transferred to special paper with unique sublimation dyes. The image is then transferred to the ceramic mug through a process of heat and pressure.

Because the dyes are infused into the mug at the molecular level, rather than applied at a topical level (such as with screen printing and direct to mug printing), the prints do not crack, fade or peel under normal conditions. What you have is a nearly permanent, high resolution, full color print.

When cooled, the mugs are carefully packaged and shipped. To see the process in action, watch the video below. This shows a black image on white mugs but the process for color is the same.
